Questions

Questions, answered

What does TheCareApp do?

It brings care records, staff checks, forms and the running of your homes into one app, on the web, phones and shared unit tablets. Some parts, like the rota and medicines, are still on the way; we’ll show you exactly what’s ready when we speak.

How is it different from paper, spreadsheets or other care software?

It’s built for how UK care actually runs: staff sign in with a PIN on shared tablets, access pauses by itself when a DBS lapses, and every change is recorded. One app replaces the paper, the spreadsheets and the separate systems.

How does the rota planning work, and who’s in control?

The rota suggests shifts and cover from your own staff and bank first, agency last. Managers stay in control: nothing is published or booked until they approve it.

Do our staff need an email address?

No. Frontline staff sign in with a username and their own PIN, on their phone or on a shared unit tablet. Managers sign in on the web with two-step sign-in.

Can we move from our current system?

Yes. We bring your residents, staff and checks across for you, train your team, and help you go live one home at a time.

Where is our data kept?

In the UK, in Amazon Web Services’ London region. Every sign-in and change is recorded in an audit log you can search and export.
